Washington's Wash & Pulaski's Hooker Named MCC Student-Athletes of the Week (Feb. 3)

Darion Wash (Washington High School) and Atavion Hooker (Pulaski High School) were named the Milwaukee City Conference Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Jan. 26 – Feb. 1.

Wash averaged 19 points per game in Washington’s two wins last week, including a season-high 21 points in the Purgolders’ 79-63 victory over Obama that propelled them into first place in the MCC White Division. For the season, Wash is averaging 10.5 points per game.

Washington is now 8-1 in the MCC White Division, and has a half-game lead over second-place Obama (plus two head-to-head wins over the Cougars). Hooker and the Pulaski Rams competed in two wrestling meets last week at Bay View and Hamilton. Hooker, wrestling in the 215-lb. weight class, finished 5-0 with four pins on the week.

Next up for Pulaski: the Milwaukee City Conference championships on Friday, Feb. 7.
